Fire on water

Article Abstract:

An account is presented of a fire on the Ocean Crusader oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico in July 2000. While most of the workers were rescued by Coast Guard helicopter and a local boat, two men were temporarily left behind and describe the events which unfolded around them.

Face beneath the water

Article Abstract:

A description is presented of the experiences of a disabled woman who almost drowns in an irrigation ditch. The effect that the incident has on her life and on the life of the teenager who rescued her is discussed.
