Grady's gift

Article Abstract:

Gradystein Williams was a 16-year old black cleaning lady of the Raines family in Birmingham, AL, in the 1950s, when racism was at its height. She became mentor and inspiration to a young white rich boy. Williams taught the boy to become a better man with a heart transcending age, race and social status.
