A piece of property in Newbury, NH, once owned by John Milton Hay, is for sale with an asking price of $765,000. The property has 7.5 acres, a home, a barn and a milk house, and shares access to a lake and ownership of a tennis court. A history of the buildings on the property is given.

The red house

Article Abstract:

The Hatch family home in Marshfield, MA, is the oldest continually occupied house in New England. It was built in 1647 by Walter Hatch, who in his will decreed it be passed on to his descendants without being sold through perpetuity. A woman who grew up there describes the experience.

A poem on a pane of glass

Poet and writer May Sarton bought a farmhouse in Nelson, New Hampshire following her parent's deaths. One of the window panes contains an etching of a poem she wrote.
