Article Abstract:
The Cherokee Indians were forcibly resettled from the Southeast to Indian Territory in present-day Oklahoma in 1838, an ordeal that was suffered by other Indians of the Southeast. The history and way of life of the Southeastern tribes are discussed.

The number of Latinos in major league baseball clubs has been growing since the 1970s, and in 1993 one in seven players is from Latin America. Baseball is very popular in Latin America, and young players are able to practice year-round.
