An assortment of china and glassware can make an interesting table setting. Attractive settings depend more on creativity than expense. Patterns can be alternated around a table or changed with each course.

France has many restaurants and inns where the traveler can enjoy a meal by the edge of a river. Restaurants in the towns of Avallon, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Poissy, Chatou and Les Andelys are described.
