Article Abstract:
The Bosnia-Herzegovina war did not deter runner Mirsada Buric from pursuing her dream of competing in the Olympics. Amid sniper shots and mortar and artillery shells, she ran everyday in the streets of Sarajevo. Her courage and persistence attracted Eric Adam in the US, whom she later married.
