Lighting case study

Article Abstract:

Evidence shows that lighting controls result in lower energy consumption in buildings. Studies conducted by the Lighting Research Center (LRC) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO, demonstrate the effectiveness and other incremental benefits of lighting controls. The LRC studies confirmed the wisdom of moving beyond static energy-saving lighting technologies such as T8 lamp-electronic ballast systems. The LRC also found that building occupants are willing to use manual control systems and that they prefer to have control over their lighting systems.
