Nicole Birkholzer is the director of the Therapeutic Riding Center at 'Handi Kids' where she looks at the benefits and effects that horseback riding has on children with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities. At Handi Kids, the annual budget of $ 950,000 comes mainly from donations and Nicole feels that riding a horse gives a disabled person muscle stimulation that cannot be duplicated through any type of work.
