Our unlikely thanksgiving

Article Abstract:

German prisoners of war helped repair an old Tulsan mansion since most Americans went to war. Repair works had to be finished by the end of November so the state of Oklahoma could keep the house. The Germans met the deadline and celebrated their first Thaksgiving in the United States.

"Don't take off your heart." (an adult learns to read)

Article Abstract:

A 57-year-old school janitor, spurred by his interest in the bible, learned to read. He studied beginners' readers based on bible stories and progressed to the bible itself. Eventually he read Psalm 121 in a church service.
