Promising drug for MS

Article Abstract:

A study on two groups with multiple sclerosis showed that patients treated with beta interferon performed better than those given placebos. Patients' magnetic resonance imaging brain scans showed that beta interferon inhibits the disease's progress, resulting in fewer central nervous system lesions.

A deadly drug, a new generation

Article Abstract:

The number of students who have tried heroin between 1991 and 1997 has doubled. The drug has become more potent and deadly than it was in the late 1960s. It has also become more popular among teenagers, especially in Florida.
