Why do we reject the mean-variance model?
Article Abstract:
A two-stage method is used to analyze the static mean-variance portfolio model. The method determines if the link between asset supplies and returns is symmetric positive semi-definite. If so, then the model can be considered accurate. Application of the model to data on the asset holdings of German firms showed its failure to establish a semi-definite connection between returns and asset holdings.

No HMG-1 box signature
Article Abstract:
The existence of an HMG-1 box domain in TATA-binding proteins or when HMG has DNA-binding ability has not been borne out by research. Moreover, CCG1 protein has been found to have some genetic similarities to bacterial alpha-factor, although these similarities do not appear to have significant meaning.
