Six hours to save Drew
Article Abstract:
Drew was born with a heart defect called TGA, transposition of the great arteries and was pale with legs skinny like the chicken legs. Under the circumstances, Dr. Roger Mee was the ultimate choice and even he was skeptical about the future of the child. The difficult conditions in which another heart was procured and transplanted successfully in those breath-taking moments are described.
