Alterations on a person's ethnic appearance can be made with plastic surgery. Almost 20% of plastic surgeries were done on women to reduce their ethnic appearance by the late 1980s. This trend raised disturbing questions about the possibility of ethnic cleansing through plastic surgery.

Couples who sleep in the same bed often have difficulty adjusting to each other's sleeping habits. Research shows that people have their best sleep when alone, but those with sleeping partners need to deal with their physiological, psychological and emotional needs and behaviors in bed.

A woman describes how other people reacted to her blond wig. Men made comments, and women gave her negative glances. People expect blonds to be good, be dumb, and have more fun. Blonds do appear to receive more attention.
