Article Abstract:

Three teenage boys who are refugees from Sudan describe their transition from life in a refugee camp to life in a two-bedroom apartment in the snow-covered city of Fargo, North Dakota. The boys adjusted to the food and learned to care for themselves despite the cultural changes and learning how to work their way through the bureaucratic maze of social services. Many of the refugees were made foster children.
