Viva Spanglish!

Article Abstract:

Ilan Stavans is a Mexican writer who teaches Spanglish language which is a combination of Spanish and English language at the Amherst College and has drawn the attention of NPR and BBC reporters in addition to the students. However, the masters in the language do not like this Spanglish as it is not a correct English language or a correct Spanish language and it further causes threat to the lexical purity of both the languages.

Speaking the corn into being

Article Abstract:

Spoken words are transformers to the Cherokee that bring the world into being. The Cherokee believe that worlds are spoken into an energy field and can sing the seed corn into the field and speak the crows away from the seeds.
