Government regulation of business is counterproductive. It consumes huge amounts of money, from the taxes used by bureaucrats to the money spent by businesses in complying. Moreover, it has been found to be ineffective in dealing with the real offenders. The government should just let the market take its natural course and leave it unregulated.
