Being Muslim: Islam, Islamism and identity politics
Article Abstract:
The bases of identity in the contemporary world vary, diverge and converge and it is commonplace to state that identities develop in reference to nation, religion, gender, language, socio-economic position and lifestyle. The various manifestations of identify politics in relation to the religion of Islam, which is set against the background of the unfolding dynamics of Islamist politics over the last decades are explored.

Institution matter?
Article Abstract:
The theory of 'New Institutionalism' that consists of two propositions namely, institutions matter and that institutions are endogenous is discussed. However, it is concluded that the institution of choosing the government by elections is endogenous with regard to conditions.
