Convenience store group resists OSHA on 2 security points
Article Abstract:
The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) of Alexandria, VA, contested two of the recommendations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on safety measures, saying there is no scientific proof that two workers on duty at night and bullet-resistant enclosures could boost safety and lessen risk of injury. The other recommendations of the OSHA include establishing emergency procedures, providing silent and personal alarms, restricting client access, installing drop safes and improving visibility, among others. These are just recommendations and guidelines, and they are not intended to become law, according to OSHA.
