Article Abstract:

Firms benefit from costs reductions through the effects of economies of agglomeration when they locate together. Workers endogenously choose to qualify for professional skills where firms agglomerate and thus reap benefits from higher prospects of good match.

Economic geography and the distribution of profits

Article Abstract:

The combination of imperfect competition and firm's indivisibility that matters for the formation of agglomeration in economic geography is presented. The assumption of free entry must be abandoned to account for the profits and their distribution.
