From "sleeping giant" to "incredible hulk"
Article Abstract:
Political scientists and journalists who throughout the 1990's referred to the Latino voters as 'sleeping giants' compare them to David Banner of 'Incredible Hulk' because of their anger at the GOP, due to the elimination of social benefits for illegal immigrants. The surge in California's Latino Vote in the years following the Proposition 187 helped secure Democratic majorities in California for a decade.
