Legislators tour New Orleans recovery efforts
Article Abstract:
Participants of the Healthy States Forum for State Legislators: Innovation and Collaboration in Wellness, toured the Lower Ninth Ward, the area most damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The mental health impact of bullying, the HPV vaccine, violence prevention/elder abusee and promoting adult wellness in rural areas were discussed at the conference. Feedback on the meeting was positive according to legislators who participated.
