Article Abstract:

Housing decisions regarding homeownership is treated as a dynamic process rather than a static phenomenon. In order to examine the adjustment of housing tenure over time, an analysis is done which employs a duration model of the sequential housing choices made by families.

When do they leave? The dynamics of living in low-income neighbourhoods

Article Abstract:

Several undocumented aspects of residential spells in low-income neighbourhoods are explored using longitudinal tax data. In contrast to the low-income state, the dynamics of low-income neighbourhood spells are largely shaped by non-economic factors.

(Non-)existence of equilibria in multicommunity models

Under some assumptions on preferences and income distributions, the basic structure of multicommunity models implies that, no equilibrium with jurisdictions conducting different policies can exist.
