Which way, L.A.? The host of an award-winning radio program, which explores the psyche of Los Angeles, takes his own personal journey through a troubled paradise
Article Abstract:
Los Angeles, CA, may be on the road to economic recovery as it veers away from the shadows of its dismal past, which is characterized by recession and high unemployment rates. However, it is still beset by problems concerning race relations and the formidable challenges facing local authorities to improve the city's future prospects. While many residents have moved elsewhere, others opted to stay with hopes of witnessing positive changes and developments. However, the worsening air pollution, water shortages, economic inequality and welfare concerns make recovery more difficult.
