Advocate HealthCare of Chicago, IL, has been chosen as the top healthcare network for 1999 by the 'Modern Healthcare' magazine. The company was aided in its quest for excellence by its corporate commitment to listen to its clients, a commitment that was aptly featured in its advertisements. The ads, which were made for the hospital network by the Chicago-based agency of Coil, Counts, Ford and Cheney Advertising, focused on the ear as the most advanced implement in the healthcare industry.

Free osteoporosis screening drives traffic to California hospital's library, helps deter bone disease

Article Abstract:

Washington Hospital of Fremont, CA, installed a Hologic sahara bone sonometer at its community health resource library and launched a free osteoporosis screening drive on Sep 21, 1999 to improve the number of cardholders of its library lending program. One month after the introduction of the program, Washington Hospital was able to attract 412 new members and had 1,327 people screened for osteoporosis.

High school students produce television spots aimed at teens for Virginia hospital

Article Abstract:

The Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond, VA, has tapped the students of Varina High School to produce its television spots aimed at teens. The innovative campaign was launched to boost brand name recognition and awarenes of its programs among teenagers. The spots developed by the teenages focused on the relief of stress through extracullicullar activities and the danges of sleep deprivation.
