Medicaid managed care and infant health
Article Abstract:
The implementation of Medicaid managed care program in Wisconsin in the mid 1990s did not generate substantial benefits to the state, as it failed to provide significant financial benefits to patients. Results revealed that patients enlisted under the state's Medicaid program were not given as much prenatal care services as they deserve. Further, birth outcomes yield insignificant difference compared to those recorded under conventional fee-for-service systems.
