The ethical responsibility of the hospital to the environment
Article Abstract:
The concept of ethical responsibility of the hospital to the environment is considerably a new one since many hospitals have been taking measures towards environmental protection in answer to regulatory bodies rather than out of ethical concerns. In this regard, hospitals can address environmental problems through ethical decision making which can be applied in the area of purchasing. The decision to purchase reusable supplies may be the right one to make when the environment is seriously taken into account.

Addressing blood and body fluid spills: conserving time and resources during surface disinfecting
Article Abstract:
Blood and body fluid spills must be adequately and rapidly cleaned and disinfected to prevent the potential transmission of infective organisms especially HIV and Hepatitis B virus. Infection control manufacturers, such as Med Mode, have designed and produced different chemicals and materials that make surface disinfection faster and more efficient. These Med Mode products adhere to standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and follow the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control.
