Salaries aren't what they once were cracked up to be
Article Abstract:
Candidates for employment positions consider many issues besides salary in 1996. Accepting another job used to involve a pay increase of between 15% and 30% depending upon a need to relocate to accept the position. When job candidates are laid off because of downsizing, they may have to accept a lower paying position to continue to follow their career goals. Other people accept positions with lower salaries because of greater career opportunities at a new position rather than their old firm.

Following the drill: the search for a dentist. Consumers' behavior varies depending on whether they need routine or specialized care
Article Abstract:
A study of 950 adults nationwide reveals that those seeking dental services prefer personal information sources over nonpersonal ones. These personal sources included, predominantly, friends and family. The predilection of respondents for personal sources was more pronounced among those seeking dental specialists than among those seeking routine care providers. The study highlights the importance of relationship marketing in dentistry.

Matching dental offerings with expectations
Article Abstract:
Dental care practitioners must provide the care that consumers expect if these practitioners wish to increase their business. Dentists should not emphasize the convenience of their services, such as parking facilities and location, but emphasize their core services, such as service quality and competence. Methods of pain control should also be emphasized.
