The challenges of governing public-private community health partnerships
Article Abstract:
Twenty-five Community Care Network Demonstration sites were surveyed to identify the major governance issues facing public-private community health partnerships. The results indicated three clusters of interrelated governance government issues, namely, management of turf/territoriality issues among partner organizations, definition and integration of community accountability into the government process, and management of competing demands of partnership growth and development. Implications for partnership governance development are discussed.
