Good business leaders have a number of similar characteristics. Many possess physical attractiveness and enthusiasm which draws people and encourages them to perform required tasks. Leaders have self confidence and are knowledgable in every aspect of their business. They can assume different roles in different situations although most are uncomfortable in subordinate roles. Leaders also have the ability to encourage teamwork.

The dynamics of role interaction
Article Abstract:
Leader-follower interactions are crucial to business success. The three types of leader roles are the authoritarian, permissive and equalitarian while the three types of subordinate roles are the rebel, instigator and the critic. It is shown that mismatched leader-subordinate roles can lead to communication problems. The ability to adapt to the mode of behavior of a leader or follower should also be developed.
