Is medical research doomed?
Article Abstract:
Medical research financing is decreasing drastically. Medical research programs will fail if they do not get 10% to 20% of their funding from stable sources. Market forces are causing these difficulties but if these difficulties continue there will be economic repercussions for medical schools, health care quality and US businesses.
