A motherless child: I didn't understand how tragic it was that I'd lost my mother, until I had a child of my own

A woman who lost her mother to a viral illness when she was two years old describes how she did not really feel the loss until her son was born. Family members gave her love when she was a child, but she eventually cried for both herself and her mother and their loss.

A cook's personal experiences with lobster are presented. Techniques for cooking lobster include stroking its back to make it unconscious and boiling a one-pound lobster for five minutes. A recipe for lobster salad is included.

Techniques are given for roasting vegetables. Roasting is a virtually fat-free way of increasing one's consumption of vegetables. Roasting vegetables works best at a temperature of 400 degrees.
