Avian influenza A (H5N1) infection in humans
Article Abstract:
An unparalleled and highly infectious epizootic avian influenza A (H5N1) virus is stated to have traversed the species impediment in Asia and increasingly causing human mortality and pandemic threat. The characteristics of human infection with avian influenza A (H5N1) are outlined, and suggestions presented at the WHO meeting in May 2005 to prevent and clinically control the disease are examined.

Avian Influenza A (H5N1) in 10 patients in Vietnam
Article Abstract:
The clinical features and preliminary epidemiologic findings among 10 patients with confirmed cases of avian influenza A (H5N1) are reported. It is concluded that influenza A (H5N1) infection characterized by fever, respiratory symptoms, and lymphopenia, carries a high risk of death.
