Article Abstract:

Many companies are offering paid paternity leave benefit, and men are increasingly making use of this new benefit even though it may raise concerns that it might come at a cost to their careers. It is estimated that when accounting firm KPMG introduced two weeks of paternity leave in 2002, 30% of fathers took the leave in 2002 and nearly 70 % in 2003.

Violent behavior and verbal abuse by parents is an increasing problem in that is taking the fun out of youth sports. Many youth leagues are setting standards for parental behavior and offering training in sportsmanship and sports parenting.
