Brief report: Kingella kingae infections in children-United States, June 2001-November 2002
Article Abstract:
It is known that kingella kingae causes skeletal infections in children and studies indicate that direct inoculation of clinical specimens in aerobic blood culture bottles may improve recovery of fastidious bacteria. Consultants as well as microbiological laboratory assistants will have to be educated about the revolutionary way of testing, which will hopefully help in recovery.
