Rasch analysis of the Western Ontario MacMaster Questionnaire (WOMAC) in 2,205 patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia
Article Abstract:
The authors tested the Western Ontario MacMaster osteoarthritis Questionnaire (WOMAC) to see if it fulfilled the standards of the Rasch Item Response Theory to determine quality of life and health in patients with osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis. The test generally was successful at health and satisfaction levels of the patients, although it was more applicable to those with osteoarthritis, as might have been expected.
