Recent research have shown many possible ways by which cancer and heart disease may be prevented. The relationships between co Q10, homocysteine and heart disease, and between beta-carotene and cancer have been established. These developments may soon lead to effective disease prevention measures.

Research suggests that vitamin E supplementation can lower risk of heart disease. Supplementing the diet with vitamin E makes blood cholesterol more resistant to oxidation. Oxidized cholesterol is more likely to clog arteries.
