Compliance with Do-Not-Resuscitate Orders for Hospitalized Patients Transported to Radiology Departments
Article Abstract:
Many radiologists apparently do not obey do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders. DNR orders mean that the patient has requested no CPR in the event of a cardiac arrest or other life-threatening condition. In a study of 248 hospital-based radiology departments, only 18% had written DNR procedures. Twenty percent of the radiologists surveyed would resuscitate a patient even if the patient had a DNR order. Almost 40% had done so in the past.

Domestic violence training: an annotated bibliography
Article Abstract:
Studies on the training of therapists who deal with cases of domestic violence are discussed. Training is essential to identify the problem of violence, assign the responsibility for violence to the batterer and develop a knowledge of intervention methods. Among these studies are clinical work with male batterers conducted by Bern, and a manual for individual and group workshops by Fortune and Hormann.
