Radioactive waste needs global attention
Article Abstract:
Countries all over the world can safely and effectively address radioactive scrap-metal concerns with the setting of international standards governing the release of radioactively contaminated scrap metal and the assistance from developed nations. Cooperation on a global scale is necessary to control the radioactive scrap-metal waste. Decontamination is essential to achieve a degree of cleanliness that will enable the public to use such materials.

Waste exchanges help
Article Abstract:
Industrial waste exchanges are doing good business across the country. Instead of disposing off solid wastes into municipal facilities, more companies are having their waste products listed in a directory for waste exchange. The Seattle, WA, program has been successful in facilitating 123 exchanges during the first nine months of 1994, saving its readers $2.8 million in purchase and disposal costs.
