Do ya think I'm sexy?

Article Abstract:

A practice nurse discusses society's attitide towards sex and the older person, and feels that nurses should be prepared to discuss the subject without surprise or prejudice. This can be difficult because society does not openly recognise that sexual activity happens or is acceptable in older people. The nurse thinks that if sexuality was included as part of a nurse's training then the subject may be less of a taboo subject and nurses would feel more confident in talking about it. Details of the discussion with the patient are given.
