Ethics guidelines for research with the recently dead

Article Abstract:

The recommendations of the Consensus Panel on Research with the Recently Dead (CPRRD) with reference to ethical issues and guidelines for research such as community involvement and eligibility is presented. The objective of the multidisciplinary expert CPRRD is to craft ethic guidelines for research with the dead.

Biopanning and rapid analysis of selective interactive ligands

Article Abstract:

Research examines cell binding and the molecular biology of cell surfaces using a technique called 'biopanning and rapid analysis of selective interactive ligands' or BRASIL. Researchers use BRASIL to screen, select, and sort peptides that bind on the cell surface from phage libraries.

Reversal of obesity by targeted ablation of adipose tissue

Article Abstract:

An antiobesity therapy based on targeted induction of apoptosis in the vasculature of adipose tissue is reported. Rapid obesity reversal without detectable adverse effects was seen through resorption of established white adipose tissue and normalization of metabolism.
