A healthy performance?

Article Abstract:

League tables on hospital performance will be available from 1994. Indicators will include patient waiting times, casualty waiting times, ambulance response, cancelled operations and day sugery. Critics complain no measure of care quality, health outcomes and patient satisfaction will be available. Such crude comparisons will not reflect the differing financial situations of hospitals.
