Group to revamp vector-control methods
Article Abstract:
The World Health Organization claims that despite decades of efforts to control malaria, the disease continues to kill more than 1 million people each year and cause illness in as many as 500 million individuals. Innovative Vector Control Consortium, a 5-year pilot program aims to tackle an important step toward controlling the disease, specifically the malaria and dengue, protecting individuals from the insect vectors of the disease.
