The 'Wise Ears' initiative launched by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health in Jul 1999 is designed to tackle noise-induced hearing loss. Key elements of the scheme include audiometry for noise-exposed workers.
