Health focus: What's up doc.?

Article Abstract:

It is uncertain where the responisibility for training within the NHS on handling loads lies. A directive on minimum health and safety requirements for the handling of heavy loads was adopted by The council of the European Communities in March 1988, and ruled that employers must be responsible for worker training on handling loads. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Advisory Panel on Back Pain in Nurses offers guidance on handling paitents in hospital.
