IOM considers licensing, medical education reforms

Article Abstract:

The Institute of Medical (IOM) describes various assessment reports to evaluate clinical skills for relicensing application. The report calls for a collective effort by all health care disciplines to improve patient safety and health care quality by focusing on the set of core competencies in education.

Fewer clinical faculty volunteer to teach

Article Abstract:

A serious problem of few numbers of clinical faculties coming forward to teach voluntarily if not resolved would have consequences for all medical students. This problem would be solved with the help of the academics that offer grants for education research and provide mentoring.
