DH funds Islet cell transplant treatment for type 1 diabetes
Article Abstract:
A new treatment for type 1 diabetes called islet cell transplantation is being supported by the Department of Health. Islet cell transplantation offers diabetic patients suffering from hypoglycemia a relief by reducing its incidence and allows them to be free of insulin dependence.
