Infectious urinary tract morbidity with prolonged bladder catheterization after radical hysterectomy
Article Abstract:
The authors have investigated catheter-associated infections occurred after radical hysterectomy. The role of prophylactic antibiotics in treating these infections has been studied, and the authors suggest that because catheter-associated infection incidence is low the patients may be withheld from prophylactic antibiotics.
