Inhibition of natural killer cells results in acceptance of cardiac allografts in CD28-/- mice

Article Abstract:

Research presented examines how natural and adaptive immune responses may work against successful medical transplantation, focusing on cardiac graft acceptance in mice which have had important mechanisms in their natural killer cells and adaptive immune system inactivated. Findings suggest that long-term graft acceptance was achieved when NK-receptor-bearing cells were inhibited and combined with a CD28-costimulation blockade.

Inhibition of natural killer cells results in acceptance of cardiac allografts in CD28-/- mice

Article Abstract:

Research presented concerns immune defense mechanisms that work against successful allogeneic organ transplantation, focusing on adaptive and natural immune responses to transplantation. Researchers suggest that cardiac graft acceptance may be achieved by the inhibition of natural killer-receptor-bearing cells along with CD28-costimulation blockade.

Inhibition of the natural killer cells results in acceptance of cardiac allografts in CD28 (super)-/- mice

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the transplantation of the allogenic organs. The investigation of the natural and adaptive immune responses in the transplant rejection has been carried out via the inactivation of the adaptive and innate immune system key effectors in mice and the results are discussed.
