Intravenous immunoglobulin ameliorates ITP via activating Fcgamma small letter gamma receptors on dendritic cells
Article Abstract:
A demonstration that IVIg drives signaling through activating Fegamma receptors in the amelioration of mouse immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is presented in contrary to the prevailing theories of IVIg action in autoimmunity. The actual administration of IVIg was unnecessary because as few as [10.sup.5] IVIg-treated cells could, upon adoptive transfer, ameliorate ITP.

The fine cytokine line between graft acceptance and rejection
Article Abstract:
Many different factors may determine whether an organ transplant recipient rejects a transplant. Genetic factors in the recipient influence rejection, as does the types of cytokines produced by the graft.
