Radiotherapy plus concomitant and adjuvant temozolomide for glioblastoma
Article Abstract:
The current standard of care for newly diagnosed glioblastoma, the most common primary brain tumor in adults, is surgical resection to the extent feasible, followed by adjuvant radiotherapy. Radiotherapy alone was compared with radiotherapy plus temozolomide, given concomitantly with and after radiotherapy in terms of efficacy and safety.

PTEN, the lipid phosphatase and tensin homologue, is a key tumor suppressor. A recent study by Nagata and colleagues shows that PTEN not only antagonizes tumorigenesis but also senditizes breast cancers.
